Scholarships and Grants
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) offers various scholarships and grants to support deserving and financially challenged students in pursuing their academic goals. These programs aim to promote access to quality education, encourage academic excellence, and recognize outstanding achievements.
Scholarships are awarded based on specific criteria, such as academic performance, leadership, community involvement, or financial need. Grants, on the other hand, provide financial assistance to help cover tuition fees, learning materials, and other educational expenses.
Through these opportunities, UPOU reaffirms its commitment to making education more inclusive and accessible, empowering learners from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential.
The Student Assistantship and Graduate Assistantship (SAGA) Program provides undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to work and earn while pursuing their studies in the University.
The UPOU Student Loan Program (SLP) is intended to provide financial assistance to qualified students of the UP Open University to enable them to complete their registration.
The main objective of the Reach Everyone And Care to Help Program (R.E.A.C.H.) Program is for the establishment of a contingency fund that will enhance an effective emergency preparedness and speedy response mechanism to students in need of financial assistance.
