OSA Conduct Student Orientation for Katuwang: Peer Support Group
“Ang tunay na malasakit ay nagsisimula sa pakikinig”
The UP Open University Office of Student Affairs (OSA) conducted an online orientation today for the Katuwang: UPOU Peer Support Group of Volunteers. The session was attended by OSA staff and volunteer students from various Faculties of Study, who expressed their commitment to supporting fellow E-skolars with special needs and those facing personal challenges. Ms. Imelda Valera, UPOU University Researcher, shared valuable insights about the importance of listening and practicing unconditional positive regard in creating a supportive environment.
The KATUWANG serves as an extension of the Counseling and Guidance Program, which aims to foster social and academic connections towards a supportive and inclusive learning community.
