Examination Services

The Examination Services Program is responsible for the overall administration and delivery of proctored academic examinations done at UPOU designated examination venues or online. Academic examinations include a midterm, final, make-up, removal/completion, comprehensive, and validation exams.

The Examination Services Program is responsible for the overall administration and delivery of proctored academic examinations done at UPOU designated examination venues or online. Academic examinations include a midterm, final, make-up, removal/completion, comprehensive, and validation exams. The Program also facilitates examination arrangements regarding venues, examiners, and/or proctors for UPOU admission tests.

For the past years, proctored UPOU examinations have been administered sit-down at a designated physical venue (examination venue) under the supervision of an examiner/proctor. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all proctored exams were administered online. Students need not go to the UPOU designated examination venue but instead take the exams at their home or anywhere else convenient for them to take the exams. This is being done in consideration of the safety of the students as well as of the examiners/proctors.

The Examination Services Program uses the UPOU Exam Portal as the official platform for hosting online proctored examinations, excluding FIC/Program-administered exams. The UPOU Exam Portal is a web application based on Moodle that can host exams using the Quiz functionality of Moodle and was created through the Information and Communication Technology Development Office (ICTDO). The Google Meet app is being used as the video conferencing software for invigilating online proctored exams.

Since all proctored examinations are currently being done online, the delineation between local and offshore students is currently not applicable. For the time being, please use the following mailers:
